You clicked this link to learn How To Be A Better Person. Now before i start i want to make it absolutely clear that i am in no position to say you are not good enough already. This post was not made with any intention to say that i’m doing everything right and you are not or that “this is what a person should be”. I have made this post to share with you some lessons i have learned and ways of thinking combined with actions that have created an environment me to become a better man.

First of all, if you have landed on this page because it was something you were looking for let’s start by saying congratulations to you for reaching this point. The point where you are ready to make changes and sacrifice what you have now, for what you will receive in exchange.

Let’s focus on that word right there. Sacrifice, by definition “an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy.” This means that in your journey to be a better person there are going to be times where you are going to need to sacrifice things that are important to you.

For example:

  • Eating luxury foods.
  • Clubbing every weekend.
  • New video games.
  • Luxury clothing.
  • Watching your favourite teams play.
  • Certain friends.

The reason your road to be a better person will involve a lot of sacrifice is because what you want out of life is going to cost you money and time. The things above are examples of things that take away money and/or time. If what you want out of life is more than important than these things this should be a relatively simple transition. If being a better person in a better position is not important enough for you to sacrifice such things, don’t ever expect to reach the heights you seek.


How To Be A Better Person

Let’s get clear on what you believe a better person is because my definition of becoming a better person could be a far cry from yours. In my perception the answer to How To Be A Better Person is.

  • More meaningful relationships.
  • Body in better shape.
  • More wisdom/knowledge/understanding.
  • More financially capable.
  • More spiritual.
  • More magnetic.
  • More self respect

 

Now i can reel things of all day but you get the jist of what i’m saying right? I’m pretty sure most peoples list of things would contain many of these things or even all of them. It’s very important however that you have absolute clarity on everything you want to change because if you’re not conscious of the person you won’t know what steps to take and if you miss out on any, even when you improve everything else you will still feel like somethings missing. So take some time to write your list and then carry on with the rest of the article.


Ok so now you have your list of things to change to help you be a better person let’s break them down one by one. I’m going to use an example of one of mine so you can get an idea for this next step.

First i’m going to need to get an idea of what i want my body to look like. Once i have that image i’m going to have to research what it’s going to take to achieve that. For example i know that if i want to get more muscular then i need to find out what kind of diet i need to be on, what kind of foods i need to eat, how frequently etc. Now i need to work out what kind of exercises i need to achieve this. Now i have the option to pay a professional to figure this out for me or i’m going to use the internet to find the information i need.

Assuming at this point i know everything i need to know to get the required result, all i need to do is execute the plan i’ve put together. This is where sacrifice is going to come in to play. Maybe my diet change is going to be more expensive, do i want it bad enough to sacrifice money? Maybe the only time i can get in the gym is game night, do i want it bad enough to watch the replay instead?

If we know what we need to do to achieve something all we need to do is execute our strategy and stick it out until the end, the difficulty only truly comes in resisting the distraction and the negativity that will pull us away from it. It’s very simple. Map it out, stick to the plan, if it’s not working then we troubleshoot and experiment to find out what we need to do different. No panicking, no stressing, we get it done. Point blank period.

Now what we do is repeat the steps above for each individual goal we have. I don’t recommend trying to tackle it all the once unless you’re crazy motivated or you wont get any done let alone all of them

I guess it depends on how much you are willing to sacrifice on making it happen. just know that even one at a time, it’s very simple. Get clear, develop a plan, execute. Don’t overthink it, don’t over do it, pace yourself enough to allow you to stay consistent, this is not a race it’s a marathon.
